Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of Certimon, a certificate monitoring service operated by ThinkingBytes. By using Certimon, including the web dashboard, Telegram bot, email magic-link sign-up, alerting integrations, or public SSL checker, you agree to these terms.

1. The service

Certimon monitors public TLS certificates for domains you submit and sends expiry-related alerts through configured channels such as Telegram, email sign-in, Microsoft Teams, PagerDuty, and webhooks. Certimon reads public certificate metadata from public HTTPS endpoints. It does not install agents on your systems and does not need your private keys.

2. Accounts and sign-up

You may create or access an account using Telegram Login or an email magic-link. You are responsible for keeping access to your Telegram account, email inbox, and any alerting destinations secure. If you use email sign-up, you must provide an email address you control and accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy before a sign-up link is issued.

3. Acceptable use

Use Certimon only for domains and services you are authorized to monitor. Do not use Certimon to overload systems, probe private networks, bypass security controls, send abusive traffic, spam notification channels, or interfere with the service. Certimon may throttle, suspend, or remove usage that appears abusive, unsafe, illegal, or harmful to service reliability.

4. Alerts and reliability

Certimon is a monitoring aid, not a guarantee that certificates will be renewed or that every alert will be delivered. Delivery can depend on third-party services, including Telegram, email providers, Microsoft Teams, PagerDuty, webhook endpoints, DNS, and network availability. You remain responsible for certificate renewal, incident response, and backup monitoring for critical systems.

5. Third-party services

When you connect third-party services, their own terms and privacy notices also apply. You are responsible for configuring integrations correctly, protecting webhook URLs and routing keys, and rotating credentials if they may have been exposed.

6. Fees

Certimon is currently provided free of charge. If paid plans are introduced later, existing users will be told before any charge applies. No payment details are required for the current free service.

7. Data and privacy

Certimon processes account, domain, alerting, and operational data as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not submit confidential material, private keys, passwords, or data you are not authorized to share.

8. Changes and termination

You can stop using Certimon at any time by deleting reminders, removing integrations, logging out, or stopping the Telegram bot. Certimon may change, suspend, or discontinue features when needed for security, maintenance, legal compliance, or product development. We may update these Terms by publishing a new version on this page.

9. Disclaimer and liability

Certimon is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ThinkingBytes is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or business-interruption losses arising from use of, or inability to use, Certimon. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
